Hey community, I'm working on strengthening my four mallet technique, which I only started learning a few months ago, and I wanted to find a solo that would enhance my playing abilities for marimba. I'm relatively new to the instrument though, and I don't know any good marimba literature that I could play.To give an idea of what I can play, I just finished working on 'Jonathan's Light' by Julie Davila, which wasn't too hard. And I've been working on 'A cricket sang and set the sun' by Blake Tyson, but it's a lot more challenging than what I thought and I'm stuck on the first few measures lol. I just need something that will force me to work hard, but is actually within my playing capabilities. Thanks!(Also if you know any good method books for marimba/mallets that'd be helpful too, thanks!).
